Warminster is a beautiful market town, with fine Georgian architecture, nestling in chalk downlands and surrounded by stunning countryside.
The name Warminster first occurs in the early 10th century, a name thought to derive from the name of the River Were, which runs through the town and the park and pleasure grounds.
Warminster has always had strong military connections, and, during World War I, soldiers from Australia, New Zealand and Canada camped in the villages around Warminster, where they trained for a life in the trenches.
We are only eight miles from Longleat safari and adventure park, 11 miles from Farleigh Castle, 15 miles from Stonehenge, 18 miles from the historic city of Bath, 21 miles from Salisbury and 26 miles from Wookey Hole.
We are a five-minute walk from the town’s train station – the closest bus stop is just two doors away from our building.
We have limited permit-only parking spaces at the back of the building for hotel guests. You can collect a permit when you check in, if required.
Warminster is along the A36 Salisbury-to-Bath road and the A350 Shaftsbury-to-Trowbridge road. It is approximately 10 miles from the A303 and 30 miles from the M3.
