Local attractions

We are a short drive from the Three Counties Showground and also overlook the famous Malvern Hills. The area is famed for its dramatic hills and the pure spring water flowing from them.

A trip to the hotel wouldn’t be complete without doing one or more of the many of the walks to see the spectacular views of not only Malvern, but also the surrounding areas. We are also only a five-minute walk from the Malvern Theatre. The famous Morgan factory is also just 10 minutes’ drive away.

Legend states that as CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien were walking home in the snow, after leaving a local pub, and saw a lamp post shining through the snow. Lewis turned to one of his friends and said: “That would make a very nice opening line to a book.” The novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by CS Lewis, used that image as the characters enter the realm of Narnia.

Sir Edward Elgar lived most of his life around Malvern and is buried in Little Malvern cemetery.

There is a lot to see and do, in not only Great Malvern, but also the local surrounding areas – easily accessible by car, bus and train.
