Burns’ Week
Burns’ Week 2025 will take place during Wed 22 – Tue 28 January (inclusive), with Burns’ Night itself on Saturday 25 January.
There are five Wetherspoon hotels in Scotland, from the Highlands to Edinburgh, including Jolly’s Hotel (Broughty Ferry), The Golden Acorn (Glenrothes), The Guildhall & Linen Exchange (Dunfermline), The Kings Highway (Inverness) and The White Lady (Corstorphine, Edinburgh).
Book your next break now.
Customers looking for an authentic Scottish experience can enjoy a January sale at all of the company’s hotels in England, Scotland and Wales. Three fixed non-refundable prices are available (£49, £59 and £69), depending on location. Find out more about Wetherspoon hotels’ January sale.
Every hotel is attached to a Wetherspoon pub, with customers able to enjoy some traditional Scottish food and drinks to mark the occasion, including on Burns’ Night itself (Saturday 25 January).
To mark the occasion, pubs in England, Wales and, of course, Scotland will be serving two special meals: Scottish haggis, neeps and tatties, as well as a Caledonian burger (two 3oz beef patties, with haggis and whisky sauce, served with chips and six beer-battered onion rings).
Among the drinks choices for the Burns’ week meal deals is a selection of Scottish drinks for customers to enjoy. The featured guest ale is Inveralmond Ossian (4.1% ABV). Winner of many awards, this golden-coloured beer has a hoppy, zesty, citrus aroma, complemented by a malty backbone and a refreshing, hoppy finish. Served especially for the event, as well as a range Scottish gins, whiskies and beer.
These include two Scottish single-malt whiskies, Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie, as well as The Famous Grouse and Bell’s whisky, Scotland’s BrewDog Elvis Juice and Hazy Jane craft beers, as well as Scottish gins Hendrick’s Gin and Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger liqueur.
Customers taking part in Dry January® can also enjoy BrewDog Punk AF (0.5% ABV), the low-alcohol beer from the Ellon-based brewery.
Wetherspoon’s marketing executive, James Vaughan, said: “Our Burns’ week event is a great opportunity for customers to sample some traditional Scottish food and drinks and to celebrate for longer than just the evening of 25 January itself.”
Price and participation may vary per pub.
